Lake Wylie is a reservoir, or man-made lake in the U.S. states of both South Carolina in York County and Mecklenburg County and Gaston County in North Carolina.
The lake has a surface area of 13,400 acres and features 325 miles of shore line. The depth can range to 240 feet and surface area is 21 sq miles. There are several cities that touch Lake Wylie on and off the waterfront. Charlotte, Lake Wylie, Clover, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Rock Hill, Belmont.
